Assistant Professor & Chief Research ScholarDr. Elba Mandrelle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Swargiya Chandra Singh Shahi Government Post Graduate College, Kapkot, Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. She earned her Ph.D. in English from Kumaun University, Nainital, qualified the UGC-NET in English, and holds an M.A. in English, an MBA.
She is also a Member of the Uttarakhand State Authority for Minority Education, constituted by the Government of Uttarakhand to oversee minority educational institutions in the state.
Dr. Mandrelle's teaching and research interests include Indian English Literature, Postcolonial Studies, Feminist Literary Theory, Ecocriticism, Cultural Studies, and Digital Humanities. She has presented research papers at national and international conferences and published scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
She is presently working on a Chief Minister's Research Scheme project which documents and analyses the sacred temple traditions, oral narratives, cultural heritage, and visual practices of Uttarakhand through an interdisciplinary approach. Her academic work reflects a commitment to innovative teaching, interdisciplinary research, institutional development, and the preservation of Uttarakhand's rich cultural and literary heritage.
